Water engineers make an important contribution to health and lifestyle here (in Australia) and in our neighbouring countries. For well over a decade, Partner Housing Australasia (PHA) has deployed the voluntary probono services of professional water engineers (and other professionals) for the design, funding and construction of village water supply programs in the remote western province of Solomon Islands. PHA does not receive funding from the Australian government, and must rely on the generosity of our volunteer engineers and other donors for the continuation of this program.
