Quasar Management Services (not-for-profit consulting engineer and management consultant, a wholly-owned subsidiary of charitable NGO Partner Housing Australasia) has revised and published its Papua New Guinea public school staff housing designs and details.
The standard architectural and engineering designs, construction details and bills of quantities are available for free as PDFs from https://RodJohnston.com.au/training/ for use by governments and NGOs in South Pacific villages, where resistance to cyclone, earthquake and tsunami are of critical importance.
All designs are based on the DANCER Building System (Direct Anchorage Non-cyclonic & Cyclonic & Earthquake Resistant), which was developed in Australia, specifically for use in remote villages where hardware supplies are limited.
Designers and governments are encouraged to download the design files and associated training material.
